So, yes I know what you're asking. Why isn't the Scarecrow a crow? Well that's what you'd think he'd be, but remember, he may be the ScareCROW, but at the end of the day, he's Jonathan CRANE.
So this is Jonathan as a Red-Crowned Crane. [link][link][link] They're beautiful birds. And they are VERY tall. And I think that grace and height fits Jonathan's character very well. Not to mention if you think of Jonathan as a red-head like I do, then the red patch at the top of these bird's heads is the icing on the cake. Fun fact though... Jonathan's normally considered one of the weakest of the Arkham inmates. But in this Animal Version world I'm making, he's actually MUCH larger than Batman. Several times larger in fact. I just thought that was entertaining. XD
(EDIT: I actually had to make a small adjustment to the picture. I had it so that Jonathan's primary feathers were tipped with black, but that only appears on red-crowned cranes under two years of age. Jonathan's a full-grown adult, so his primary feathers would be pure white.)
Oh, and about that thing beneath his wing, there's one under the other as well. These devices are used to contain and administer the Fear Toxin that the Scarecrow is so well known for. They are strapped to, and move with, his wings, and he is perfectly capable of flying with them on.
Hope you all enjoy!! This was a blast. Red-Crowned Cranes are so pretty.
The next character is Twitch!! His animal is going to be fun too!!
Hehe I love this. I saw all your animal-gotham-villains pictures and they are great, but my favourite villain is Scarecrow and this is really a great picture! I love the mask, the evil yellow eyes and the syringes under his wing, that's just awesome. Have you been inspired by the Arkham Asylum game by any chance?
