Kumori is a Naruto OC I invented for a Naruto fan comic I plan on doing as soon as my Sonic comic gets further underway. ^^
This profile is still tentative, but most of it is finalized. And I may color the picture later.

9/15/09 - EDIT ALERT (and spoiler alert if you haven't gotten far in the series)!! It's been two years since I created this character. And I've made some slight changes.

At the moment, Kumori is still the host of a spirit, but I have changed Fenikkusu from a tailed-beast to just a powerful spiritual creature because at the moment(SPOILER) all but two of the tailed-beast demons are even around any more.

Yeah, Gaara is alive, but the Shikkaku was ripped from him, so he still doesn't count.

Kumori Tomoshibi is the host of the Phoenix Spirit, Fenikkusu. She was orphaned when she was very young, but was adopted by a wealthy nobleman and his wife who found her all alone.
She has become a respected ninja in the Light village and cares very much for the village and her adoptive family, including her three younger adoptive siblings.
Even after her upsetting childhood, Kumori considers herself luckly to have so many loving people in her life and that she is not forced to house a more violent spirit such as Kyuubi or Shukaku. This is because Fenikkusu has a higher respect for her host than most.
Kumori's fighting style is well rounded with both hardy defense and quick, vicious attacks. Her Phoenix Wing Jutsu creates huge chakra wings which double as an impenetrable sheild and a way to fly. Her Halo Blades can be thrown like razor-sharp shuiken.

Seven, but I made her a long time ago, and since then they've already shown the 7 tailed biiju.
So I'm thinking of just making it a random Phoenix spirit.

My heart belongs to Gaara,( like the rest of the world) but people beat him up for nothing! It makes me sick. And what about Baki?!
He gets less screen time than Tenten!

Speaking of Tenten, I really wish they WOULD do something with her.
I see a lot of potential in her and some far just about every leaf village character has had some back story except her.

Even Choji had a backstory. Super ouch.
What is it with Kishi? Every decent character he comes up with has no story whatsoever.Then we have super hot jerk guys get all the attenion. I really wish Kishi would do something with Tenten and the rest of the Suna cast.

No kidding. Maybe we'll get lucky, but with things the way they are in the comic right now (I don't know how far you are) I'm not sure there's much time for turning back and getting some backstory on side characters.
They're already taking about the showdown that will eventually happen between Naruto and Sasuke and I'm pretty sure that will be the end of the series (maybe there will be more if we're lucky, but maybe not).

I like.
Its cool that you made an OC like this without it being to mary-sue-y or to much like the exsisting characters. Most people over-do their OCs.
It is also great that you included the pheonix on her shirt.
