Petalar OC - Kallista

Check it out!! It's another ThunderCats OC!!

Now this needs a little description. This is Kallista, she's a Petalar, a new species introduced in the 4th episode of the new ThunderCats 2011 series.

They are a wonderful concept. You see the little guys only live a span of 24 hours. But since time is relative, to them it feels just like our 80 or so year long lives. Image only seeing one sunset and one sunrise in your WHOLE LIFE.
It led to a BEAUTIFUL message in the fourth episode and nearly had me crying.

But unfortunately as me and my friend Yoru predicted, fans are already trying to skirt around this profound fact by making their Petalars live longer. So me and *Yoruhoshi have decided to collab together to make a Petalar couple that indeed will only live for 24 hours, but we're going to show what their lives together were like during that span of time. Because remember to them, it's just like our 80 years.

Kallista is based off of the Daffodil flower [link] It's awesome because the trumpet of the flower looks like my signature blonde ponytail. Kallista's name is a Greek name meaning "most beautiful", which makes sense, since Daffodils are also known as "narcissus" flowers, just like the Narcissus of Greek mythology.

Living up to the history of her name, Kallista is a little vain. Not in a rude or obnoxious sense, but she's the kind of girl that likes to spruce herself up whenever she passes a mirror. She's sweet and honest and a bit of a romantic. She is a little fashion designer/model and loves to go outside appreciate the beauty of the Gardens where the Petalars live.
